Obviously it was a busy week. I haven't taken a "day off" since lat Sunday.
Tuesday: Worked 7:00-4:00 9 hours. Came home and planned/created for an additional hour. 10 total.
Wednesday: Worked 7:15-4:00. 8.75 hours. I can't remember working that evening, so I can't write it down in good conscience.
Thursday: Worked 7:15-4:30. 9.25 hours.
Friday: Worked 7:15-3:00. I was at work until 8:30 in the evening working with my student group, but, again, since I get additional pay for that, I won't include those hours. 7.75 hours.
Saturday 1 hour meeting with coworker. Then an evening assignment creation session for an hour. 2 hours total.
Today I worked for 2 hours grading and 1.5 hours planning/creating. 3.5 hours total.
Total Tuesday through Sunday: 42.25 hours worked
Total hours worked this year: 546.50 hours

PT Conferences...
I like getting to sleep in a little bit like I did today. Because of conferences I got to work at 9:45 and stayed until 5:00. (7.25 hours) Then I worked from about 7:45 until 9:15. (1.5 hours)

Wednesday and Thursday.

Two more long days down...
Tuesday I got to school at 7:00. I had a meeting after school and so I stayed until 4:00. 9 hours. I then worked for 2 hours grading and planning. :)
Wednesday isn't over yet, but I got here at 7:00 again. Woot. I'll be leaving at 3:15, but I have a TON of grading to do after that and some planning for my sub on Friday. I will have grades POSTED by tomorrow at this time though. I can't really believe we're already a quarter of the way through the school year. Insanity.

Working the weekend...
Saturday and Sunday were both work filled.
Saturday I spent about 3 hours creating a reading companion for the novel my advanced class is reading. Yeah.
Sunday...we went to work to plan some things for my coordinator job, so I won't post about those hours, but once home with lunch done and eaten I started working around 2:00pm. I'm just finishing up at 9:45, but, of course, the time was not spent working 100% of that time. I definitely was on task from 2-3, 3:30-5:00, 6:30-9. 5 hours.

Tuesday.
I got to school at 7:00 today only to find that all systems were down--meaning, I couldn't print my plans or the materials the students needed for the day. Soooo annoying. Instead of stressing over how to go "on with the show", I just thought, SHOW A MOVIE.
I did. For the first time in 4 years, I showed a movie for pretty much no reason at all other than technology stinks sometimes. Kids were hype. :) It was actually alright timing, too. We're breaking from essay writing and heading into some reading skills and practice.
I left school at 3:15. Once home, I graded from about 5:00-6:00. Made dinner. Ate. Graded and planned from 7:00-(at least) 10:00.

Got to school at 7:15. Staff meeting until 3:45 and a conversation to plan the next steps in a unit until about 4:30. I did stay for a volleyball game after that, but I won't count those "fun" minutes. :) I do enjoy watching and I didn't even grade as I sat there!

OMGoodness.

The life of a teacher includes realizing on certain days that your students are lost. On days like that, I have to rethink what we need to do next. Often that includes creating something new...today was such a day. My students STRUGGLED with the content so I took their work from class today and created a student work evaluation activity based on it. Then, I designed a partner activity to use as closure. Both things I haven't done before. It's been a LOOONG evening.
Got home and had non-professional things to do from 4-7:45. Started grading/planning/creating at 7:45. I'm finishing all that stuff RIGHT NOW. 11:15. 3.5 hours at home.

Sunday Work!
Despite having EVERY intention of working yesterday, I didn't.
Started planning today at about 2:30. Finished planning around 4:30. 2 hours of planning early.
Graded from 4:45-7:00. 2.25 hours of grading.
Dinner, etc.
Graded 7:45-8:15. .5 hours of grading.
Now I've got to plan more. Bleh. I will STOP at 10:00. That's one hour and a bit from now. I'll just count an hour.
